Dr. Renato Cocconi – Biography
- Renato Cocconi MD, MS, attended the 3 years postgraduate program at the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Milan where he obtained his master degree in 1993.
- He spent 2, 1/2 years in the United States where he worked in L.F. Andrews’ office in San Diego and attended the 2 years Roth Williams postgraduate course in Burlingame (CA) in 1991-1993.
- He has cooperated with Terry Tanaka on TMJ anatomy and facial pain.
- He is currently clinical professor at the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Milan and his private practice is in Parma where he lives.
- He is responsible of the Roth Williams group in Italy and Europe.
- He is member of the EOS, AAO, SIDO and active member of the Angle Society of Europe. In recent years he has been keynote speaker in all the major Orthodontic Societies in Europe, North and South America.
Course descricption:
The Roth Williams International Centre for Functional Occlusion will be organizing a new course in Cluj-Napoca, starting February 2011.
This is a theoretical-practical course and it is directed to doctors who have had previous post graduate orthodontic training in an officially recognized institution. The course will be given by Dr Domingo Martin, Dr Renato Cocconi and in each session we will have the collaboration of different specialists in every area. (experts in imaging, TMJ specialists, surgeons and dental technicians).
The objective of the course is to learn the fundamentals of the Roth Williams philosophy and then to be able to apply these teachings in our day to day practice and to help us obtain our treatments goals which are the following:
- Dental and Facial Esthetics
- Functional Occlusion and TMJ Health
- Peridontal Health
- Stability
- Airway
- Satisfy patients chief complaint
The course is theoretical and practical. To be able to obtain our goals we will teach the use of specific instrumentation (articulators, splints, CPI etc) which will not only help us achieve our objectives but il will permit us to check our results.
There will be clinical demonstrations and then the students will be involved in the use of all instrumentation.
The course consists of 7 sessions, each session lasts 4 days (8 hours per day) and the sessions are given approximately every 4 months.
The course lasts 2 years. Between each session the students are asked to do some extra work which will be shared whit all the participants in each session.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The number of participants is limited to 25 persons, as soon the registration is made it ensures a place in the course.

SESSION I

Tuition fee
8500 EURO
Tuition fee covers: participation, lunch and one dinner at each session.

The total amount of 8500 EURO can be paid in up to 16 payments as follows:
- 1000 EURO until November 15, 2010
- 15 equal payments of 500 EURO starting with 15th of February 201
